  1. This file contains information about this package and how to register.

  3. For information about the history of Highland Graphics please read the file 
  4. labeled HIGHLAND.TXT. We have created these images because we saw a lack of 
  5. good religious clipart. We also created these images because of our own 
  6. personal belief in and our love for the Savior and his mission. We ask 
  7. that you take a few moments to read the file called HIGHLAND.TXT to get 
  8. to know us a little bit better and our beliefs. HIGHLAND.TXT not only gives 
  9. a brief history on our company but also shares with you why we feel the 
  10. Savior important and what he means in our lives.

  12. First and foremost let us state that this file and it's accompanying clipart 
  13. images have been posted as Shareware. It is not "Free" ware or Public Domain 
  14. Software. Shareware is a try before you buy concept. If you like these 
  15. images and find them useful you are required to register them after 7 days 
  16. or delete this file and all accompanying files from your computer systems.

  18. Once again, these images have been copyrighted and are not free. They are 
  19. posted as shareware and require registration for use. By registering these 
  20. images you are granted the right to use these images for personal or 
  21. business use as long as personal monetary gain is NOT derived from the 
  22. use of these images.

  38. I. WHO ARE WE?
  39.     Highland Graphics is a home based company started about 4 years ago.
  40.     We've been doing freelance clipart for almost that entire time. For 
  41.     more information about the company and the owners please read the 
  42.     file called HIGHLAND.TXT.

  45. II. WHY DID WE CREATE THESE IMAGES?
  46.     There was very little, high quality images on the market. We 
  47.     decided to create these and offer them....once again....see 
  48.     HIGHLAND.TXT for more information.

  51. III. HAVE YOU SEEN US BEFORE?
  52.     It is very likely you may have seen some of these images before. 
  53.     We originally created these images as retail images that were 
  54.     sold via direct mail and advertising. With such a market system 
  55.     there are drawbacks, such as advertising costs, production costs 
  56.     for diskettes and boxes and the such. While providing some success
  57.     for us business-wise this did not help us with some of our main 
  58.     goals. One of those goals was to share these images with as many 
  59.     people as possible. We hope that shareware will provide that 
  60.     for these images. One of our other goals was to help spread 
  61.     the message of the Savior and what we personally believe to
  62.     be the true gospel. We feel that these images share His 
  63.     spirit with others and can be a valuable tool.

  66. IV. INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION.
  67.     Our registration policy is very simple. As with other shareware 
  68.     products we ask that if you continue to use these images beyond 
  69.     a 7 day period that you please register them. We are not looking
  70.     to become rich by creating these images. We are simply looking to
  71.     defray the costs incurred for equipment, supplies, on-line charges
  72.     and other costs and expenditures associated with creating and
  73.     distributing these images. PLEASE PAY WHAT YOU FEEL THESE IMAGES
  74.     ARE WORTH TO YOU. We suggest a minimum payment of $5.00. If you 
  75.     wish to pay more or less it is up to you. We only ask that you 
  76.     register these images so that we may be able to produce more in 
  77.     the future. Also we ask that if you are going to register these 
  78.     images that you also read the file called HIGHLAND.TXT. It not 
  79.     only tells about our company but shares with you our beliefs and 
  80.     testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and his mission.

  82.     To Register, read the file HIGHLAND.TXT, decide what you think is
  83.     fair payment for these images and print out the file called, 
  84.     REGISTER.FRM. Fill out the form and mail it to:

  98. V. BENEFITS OF REGISTRATION.
  99.     a.    Notification of future clipart packages and availability. 
  100.         When you register these images please include an E-mail 
  101.         address, preferable one reachable via the internet. When we 
  102.         have created and uploaded new images we will then notify 
  103.         you via mail of the location and description of the 
  104.         new images.
  105.     b.    Peace of mind. Your own personal knowledge that you have 
  106.         done the right thing and actually registered a piece of 
  107.         shareware. We realize a great deal of shareware goes 
  108.         unregistered but yet is used on perhaps even a daily 
  109.         basis. By registering this collection of images you will 
  110.         be able to use them with a peace of mind and a warm feeling 
  111.         in your soul instead of a nagging feeling that you are not 
  112.         being completely honest. (Okay...we re joking....but if 
  113.         that nagging feeling makes you register well.....perhaps
  114.         it is for the better.)

  119. VI. DISCLAIMER
  120.     This software is provided as is without any guarantees or warranty.
  121.     Although the authors have attempted to find and correct any bugs in
  122.     the package, they are not responsible for any damage or losses of 
  123.     any kind caused by the use or misuse of the package. The authors 
  124.     are under no obligation to provide service, corrections, or upgrades
  125.     to this package.

  128. VII. UPLOADING TO A BULLETIN BOARD
  129.     We encourage you to copy and share these images with others. We do
  130.     ask, however, that you be considerate when you upload to a BBS 
  131.     (or give a copy to a friend, computer club, or user group.) 
  132.     Be kind to the other guy! If you're going to upload to a BBS, 
  133.     be sure you include ALL FILES in your upload. Not only is this 
  134.     A REQUIREMENT for distribution as ShareWare, but it's also the
  135.     only way to be fair to the people who download it!

  138. VIII. CONDITIONS FOR SYSOPS OR BBS ADMINISTRATORS
  139.     This archival package of images and all the associate files may 
  140.     be distributed via a BBS as long as this package and all accompanying
  141.     files remain intact, including this file (README.TXT) HIGHLAND.TXT
  142.     and REGISTER.FRM. These files cannot be repackaged for resale in
  143.     any way shape or form.

  146. IX. CONDITIONS FOR SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES
  147.     Shareware distribution companies may distribute the archives under
  148.     the following conditions.
  149.  
  150.     You must notify us that you are distributing our images and what
  151.     files are being distributed. You are required to keep the entire
  152.     set of files together as one archived set including the images and
  153.     the files REGISTER.FRM, HIGHLAND.TXT and README.TXT.

  155.     CD-ROM distribution is allowed but we ask one favor. We would like
  156.     to receive one copy of the CD-ROM for personal use and for our 
  157.     personal records.

  160. X. OTHER FORMATS AND PACKAGES AVAILABLE
  161.     We create all of our images originally in WPG format. We then 
  162.     convert them to PCX, and CGM formats. We upload all of our images
  163.     in separate packages in each of these formats. All of our files 
  164.     have the same naming convention. 
  165.  
  166.     For example, HLND-01A.EXE
  167.     
  168.     HLND represents the name HIGHLAND.
  169.     The number is the number of the package
  170.     The letter represents the format.
  171.  
  172.     Packages that end with A contain images in WordPerfect 6.0 format.
  173.     Packages that end with B contain images in WordPerfect 5.0/5.1 format.
  174.     Packages that end with C contain images in CGM format.
  175.     Packages that end with D contain images in PCX format.
